Let's face it, no one wanted to see an arthritic Jimi Hendrix barely able to strum out Red House or an octogenarian Jesus trying to heal his own colon or turn water into Metamucil.

The number Judge got is totally fair and deserved considering what Cole and G pull down. It still makes no sense, they all wind up being albatrosses after the first third of a long term deal. But it seems to be SOP for signing big stars.
It does make me wonder if there was collusion between Judge's agent and the Giants to drive up the price. Not an accusation, just a thought.
As fans we will call BS on any complaints by management that they can't spend on pitching or the rest of the position players we need. No excuse for not signing Rodon.
Compared to this deal Verlander is underpaid, so I hope he's upset. Why didn't he wait for Judge to be signed first?
Hendrix would have been good for at least another 2-3 MVPs though he could of eventually had hearing problems. Of course Beethoven was completely deaf by the end and still composing symphonies so it might not have mattered. This thing with Judge should have been done years ago but better late than never!
We can collectively exhale. Yanks dodged a bullet the size of an artillery shell. If they lost Judge, they would've been like the Round Table without Lancelot. A shell of its former self.
Now we can focus on what needs to be done to get this team back to the World Series. But with the Cashman re-signing, that prospect took a colossal hit.

Mummy came from the Twilight Zone, Howard from Mayberry.
Mummy represented the dark side. Howard was goodness.

For me growing up, Mummy was more Lost In Space than Twilight Zone. With so many memorable quotes of my youth that we use to make fun of:

Mummy's Will Robinson was almost a role model. Transcending the Serling darkness to lead us with the Robot on a series of great adventures.
