That is frightening.
Colace
Locked out from watching the game today because we do not have ESPN INTERSTELLAR UNLIMITED! *
* which is AOK by me
This is not the Cole bot you seek.
AA, it's not on the local ABC channel?
Cole is toast. I think something decent is on TCM. Or, considering I'm still sick, early to bed...
Flouncy isn’t fooling anybody today. Again….
Forbidden Planet is on TCM. Great electronic soundtrack. Art direction pretty cool for 1956.
Agreed -
Classic Sci-Fi!… Lately this team is more like Plan 9 from Outer Space.
BTR, that would mean that the main character died halfway through and they are just using stands for the rest of the year. In fact, didn’t they shoot just a few minutes of Bela Lugosi and sort of faked their way through the rest of that movie?
Fucking Chapman!!
Bitty, there is a few minutes of Bela Lugosi in Plan 9 that was leftover from another project. Director Ed Wood had his dentist take over the part by holding his cape over his lower face for the remainder of the movie.
I’d be ok with his dentist taking over for boone, with or without the cape.
Another desultory loss. More pablum from boone afterwards. Zero accountability as always. No wonder we’re losing.
ah.....I remember that it was only one week ago
Somebody's asshole, would be. Let's not leave out the brilliant GM. Genius Cashman. If only I could post photos.
Not to be all snotty and elitist—well, all right, to be a LITTLE snotty and elitist—I went to see the Raphael exhibit at the Met.
Never a good idea to go see a major exhibition on the Saturday before it closes. Met was packed. The usual hordes of NYC tourists, augmented no doubt by the Cup crowds. Now that they can take pictures, people tend to stand right in front of paintings and do that, and of course some idiots insist on bringing a baby carriage.
It was glorious. Incredible art. Absolute beauty, and the only noise was the snap of the cellphones and the dazzled murmur of my fellow viewers.
I can't say I'm anything approaching an expert on art, something I also can't do. Somehow made it all the more amazing. Simply stunning, and all for a tiny pittance of what it costs to attend any professional sports event.
A good day off from our bumbling heroes.
Wish I could have joined in 🙂
There's nothing snotty or elitist about art. Anyone can be an artiste. Doesn't even cost any money to create art. Unless you paint, then you need some art supplies, unless you paint with blood on your neighbor's fence. And then there are the sonic arts (music). And the physical arts (dance, martial arts). Doesn't cost anything to be a singer, dancer, or martial artist. Well, if you practice martial arts with weapons, you need to buy (or make) your weapon. If you play the guitar, you'll only need a guitar. If you are a writer, a knight of the keyboard, or a wordsmith with pen and paper, it costs nothing but a computer or simple writing supplies. As Thoreau wrote, one can live simply and deliberately. Even nature itself is art, natural art. When you experience it, it becomes art. And, as some lonely samurai might have written in feudal Japan, even the act of living, daily activities, can be art. Art is all around us, how can it be elitist? (Unless you're an elitist who makes elite art. But the good news is that any one can still enjoy it, as long as it's free.)
A syphilitic goat using a random number generator would be a better manager than Boone.
