Feels like the let him go because if he were the bench coach of the Yankees he would be the heir apparent to Boone and we can't have that.

Why would the Yankees want a bench coach who was Manager of the Year last year and worked with all of their young kids? That would be a disaster.

That's too bad. Yankee management does not promote their best managing talent. That's another thing that's happened here. We have an idiot running the major league ball club, and the idiot never leaves.

I remember Shelly standing next to Joe Torre during games. Learning. Being tutored. He became the AAA manager of the year. So rather than promote him to major league coach and have him replace The Idiot when The Idiot's contract expires, we get this.
