Mussina, in post-game quotes, caught plagiarizing

Mike Mussina – the 39-year-old former Oriole and future bullpen fixture -- was in a jolly pip late today, after offering 5 runs in a 2-inning exhibition trot. He celebrated by giving post-game comments that were plagiarized from several well-known sources.

Mussina told the Daily News: “If I start putting more pressure on results now, it’s not going to happen the way it should happen."

The phrase banged in our heads, until a Google turned up the terrifying truth.

Mussina copied his comments off the web.

Read it and weep.

Hick'n-Hack Software official slogan: "We want to make it happen the way it should happen."

The Jan. 12 Washington Post article on a tribute to Arturo Toscanini: "He felt that the music was so important that he was going to make it happen the way it should happen."

The Sept. 6, 2006 meeting of the Reno, Nevada, Board of Agriculture, featuring statement by board member David Cassinelli: "How do we get back to the “Good Old Boys” because when he sees that, to him it’s like when everything doesn’t happen the way it should happen.

The Nov. 13, 2006 Nigerian Daily Sun statement by Professor David U.U Okali, first Geologist Professor Emeritus of the University of Ibadan: "The government is doing what it can, but the structural organization doesn’t allow the thing to happen the way it should happen."

MIKE MUSSINA SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Plagiarism is not supposed to happen the way it should happen.

We say, Moose, come clean, now. Look Professor Okali in the eyes and say you're sorry. You stole this man's words. What's next? Jeter's bat?

Wasn't Okali a reliever with the old Senators' teams of the late 1950s?
