You people criticizing Scott Boras don't have a single clue about him. Do you really think that all these business men who own Major League Baseball Teams are stupid men who give away money? Of course they're not! They are astute, financially wealthy men who know what they are doing, when it comes to business dealings.
Scott Boras is Brilliant at what he does.
He doesn't lie, he doesn't steal, etc. He too is an astute business man, who treats his clients very, very well and (very much) looks out for his clients welfare.
To you dummies out there ..... it probably feels a lot better to you when a baseball owner STOLE a player by giving that player next to nothing, compared to the REAL value that the player should have received.
It's men like Scott Boras, who make sure that the player receives 'proper' value for what he is worth.
Baseball owners DO NOT give money away.
And so, if an owner has purchased a client of Boras, it's because that owner had thoroughly read through pertinent information on hand sufficient enough to make a determination that Scott's player was worth every penny that Scott was asking for.
Also keep in mind that players are NOT machines, and they therefore, do not always do their job with the same consistency of a machine. There are many factors as to why players who have been highly paid falter when 'trying to live up to the hype', one of those reasons is the 'Mental Aspect' of the game.
None of you lame heads would know about that because if doesn't take much of anything to just show up at your job and get paid. ...... or ....... hammer some nails in some boards and get paid for it ....... or .......... work in some office at some mundane job and get paid for it ......
If you want to REALLY be challenged in your life, go out and see if you can become a highly paid baseball player. Believe me, I doubt that there's even one you 'critiques' who can close to doing that.
