In some highly welcomed Yankees news, Cashman and his entourage are on hand in Vegas.
Vegas baby, Vegas!
If he comes home without at least ONE of these players:
CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira or Manny Ramirez
Then he shouldn't bother coming home.
And, for a good laugh, Jay Jaffe over at Baseball Prospectus has devised a plan to fix the 2009 Yankees.

Guy at BP did a decent job if you ignore number 4 and 6. He's got a lot of shit right that Cashman hasn't gotten right.. I'm not sure where you can argue with most of his points.

the BP guy is on some serious drugs. The lineup is solid but not great, our bench sucks, Lowe and Sheets are bound to get injured, and the bullpen will never be able to hold a lead. If Cashman pulls this team off, he should be shot.
I don't understand why Sheets and Lowe are more prone to injury than CC. Lowe maybe, but he's been perfectly healthy for the past 5 years at least. And the bullpen.. what the fuck is Cashman doing to improve that anyway? It would be able to hold a lead as it is, and may well be one of the better ones in the AL. You can't win 162 games. I don't agree with every move he proposed, but your points certainly suck.
