Our beloved Mel Hall was convicted today of molesting a 12 year old girl while he was coaching her elite basketball team.
Mel was always a respected veteran on some of our best teams.
He was a father figure to Bernie Williams, of the sort who beat their children and wives into comas. Bernie almost quit the game, having to deal with Mel's insults.
A great acquisition in every way, rivaled only by our selection of Charles Manson in the 1972 draft.
Sentencing could bring Mel stability for the rest of his life.
He needs to be on our list for this month's Yankee.
There is no downside to electing him.

Veras will still be on the ballot - right?
Isn't he the guy who had his "girlfriend's" prom picture in the family photo section of the Yankee media guide?
This will give him a big edge when he leaves Oz and goes into general pop, though.
