10 Reasons We Need Johnny Damon back

1. If he ends his career with us, he wears a Yankee hat into the Hall.

2. He could easily have been World Series MVP.

3. He's the kind who'll play until 40.

4. He allows photos of wife, rather than forcing us to look at drawings.

5. He needs the money, because he got screwed by the fraudulent Alan Stanford.

6. Stealing him from Boston was one of our best moves this decade. Don't let them get him back.

7. Jamie Hoffmann might not be the second coming of Gary Sheffield.

8. He has perfected the Yankee Stadium HR jerk-swing.

9. If he goes elsewhere, he'll look awful in a beard.

10. Who are we, Tampa Bay? What's with the cheap bastard shit! It's Johnny Damon, we're the Yankees, shell out some green, Ebeneezer Steinbrenner!

Here's a link to a good article about why Johnny Damon should sign with the Yankees, rather than vice versa.

And the Granderson trade might work out as well as the Jesse Barfield trade.
But Damon in the Hall: you're joking, right?

#8 is the only reason I want him back. He's got the Red Socks taint.

Yeah, I said "taint."
