Not since 1999 have the Yankees been shut out twice within the same series.
I had the misfortune of watching both of the shut out losses against the Tigers. What I noticed was; once we were behind, the game was over.
This team provided not one threat of coming back. Not an inkling.
After CC gave up back to back dingers yesterday, Cano was out on one pitch, Jorge was out on another, and who ever made the third out, perhaps had a 3 pitch at bat. In other words, CC didn't have a chance to break wind before he was back on the mound.
Are the Yankees thinking clearly?
Here is a classic from Joe Girardi on that subject: " All teams are going to go through periods where they don't score any runs. You just have to find a way to win some of those games. "
Huh?

So the last time they were shut out twice in a series was 1999 - and they won the WS that year.
It'll be OK, honest.
