This one clocks in at 4.26 seconds. HE ENDS A THREE-GAME LOSING STREAK WITH A 4.26-SECOND WARRBLE?
Is something wrong?

It's not just the poor length, I'm equally disturbed by the way he's been saying "Theeeee YANKEES win" as opposed to the norm which is "Ballgame Over, Yankees Win! Theeeee Yankees WIN."
Mark my words. He is phasing out the warble. He can't live up to it anymore. It will be gone for good by the All-Star Break.
Either that, or he is injured. Just like some of the players who are not yet on DL.
A-Rod, for example, has to be hurting given his lack of power to date.
Maybe John's gotten tired of doing it all the time and has decided to save the good ones for dramatic comebacks and post-season games.
As for A-Weird, maybe he's lacking something else that used to provide his power.
I'm with Alphonso. I say he's hurt. Are we to the point where Suzyn comes in in relief?
Guys, guys, guys, we had this terror last year. There is a statistically significant negative correlation with final run margin and warble length. There's also reason to believe that the "dead months" of mid May up until the All-Star break produce shorter warbles. He's belted out a few great ones in tight games (or even not tight games) this year, so I wouldn't worry yet. The man knows it's going to be a long season and you can't prematurely rasp your vocal cords.
He is clearly lacking an Edge... with a panoramic vista roof.
Suzyn: "Game Over. Thooooooooooooose Yanks are fine !!"
