The stars at night, ain't  shining bright
deep in the heart of Texas,
The prairie sky ain't filled with pride
deep in the heart of Texas.
The sage in bloom is like cheap perfume,
deep in the heart of Texas,
the final rub for the team of shrub
deep in the heart of Texas.
