The history of celebs visiting teams began centuries ago, when the 300 Spartans, preparing for the Battle of Thermopylae, were visited by Cher. We've had three this spring -- Cameron Diaz, Richard Gere and now Kenny G.
Until yesterday, the concept of a Yankee "Kenny G" was limited to Ken Griffey.
Above -- the famed beak obscured by netting -- Kenny hits without a helmet, (aside from his Weird Al haircut.) And yes, we all would have preferred Cameron Diaz.
Crazy spring, eh? Who figured Bartolo Colon would challenge for a spot? Who imagined Jesus Montero coming north? And of all the celebs who could go Billy Crystal, who figured Kenny G? And where the hell is Tea Leoni? She's a Yankee fan, you know.

an embarrassment as an artist as well as a hitter.
Why can't guys like Don Draper be a Yankee fan?
Why can't Christina Hendricks put on a BP t-shirt and take a few swings?
great idea Joe, but the sight would probably ruin Kevin Long's ability to concentrate on batting forever.
