I read with interest about the lack of fans for the TTU men’s basketball team. It reminded me of the 1966 New York Yankee baseball team. That year the great NY Yankees played for the smallest crowd in their history. On that day, they had exactly 467 — yes, 467 — fans in the stands. Unbelieveable, but true.
Why were they not coming? Simple; they were not winning.
And to quote Yogi Berra, “If they don’t want to come, you can’t stop them!”
