As Alphonso mentioned here earlier in his post about Eduardo Nunez: What? The? Fucccccck?

I mean, I understand the sabremetric arguments about how Nunez actually can drive the ball and Jeter's range is declining and blah blah blah. But really?


Dude, SET YOUR BLEEPING FEET BEFORE YOU THROW!!!!!! That was bush league. That's "10 year old Little Leaguers trying to do the Derek Jeter backhand throw" crap. It would be cute and all if he wasn't out of the Pony Leagues. Those errors weren't nerves. That second error was a rookie trying to show off. It cost us the game. By the time he fielded the ball, there was not a base-runner in sight of him. He had all the room in the world, and plenty of time to make that throw. Right now, I'd rather have base-hits because Jeter can't get over to field a ground ball then letting Nunez automatically give them 2nd base.

If that's our future at shortstop, I'd be all for the Brothers Steinbrenner to go out and give Jose Reyes a big contract this offseason. Cause that's crap. 5 errors in 2 starts. Crap.
