This Is When Our Shot Last Night Ended

Nick Swisher up with the bases loaded and no one out.

Worst fear: " just don't hit into a double play."

Result: rally killing, game-ending, heart-breaking double play.

Swisher drove our hopes straight into the wall, and we never recovered.

It seems that the Yankees now give to the Red Sox what they used to give us. Our hitters fail in the clutch. Our pitchers rattle late. We make key blunders, mental and physical.

This morning, the season record vs Sox projects to 18-4 in their favor.

And we'll keep pitching AJ. We'll keep DHing Jorge. We'll leave Jesus in Scranton until the September call-up. We'll leave Vasquez in the minors forever.

And we'll count down the days until A-Rod comes to save us.

Then, he'll be suspended.
