Quite a fearsome looking group of criminals, isn't it?
Isn't it strange that Arod is the only baseball player who ever does anything "illegal?"
From my old teammate Lyn Lary:
Also...the “illegal, underground poker game” A-Rod is accused of playing in, took place in...2009.
Excuse me? An “underground” game at a Hollywood star’s home? Two years ago?
I understand that the commissioner is also looking into A-Rod’s possible possession of a Playboy magazine back in 1988. It seems that he may possibly have had impure thoughts. Also, Star Magazine, in conjunction with James O’Keefe and News Corp, has bugged A-Rod’s cellphones and discovered that he once said he’d really like to kiss Madonna. Then there’s the haunting video tape from 1991 that shows A-Rod clearly entering a “10 items or under”lane of a Red Apple supermarket with 11 cans of Diet Coke.
Isn’t that reason enough for suspension? Or is it that he’s causing controversial headlines.
A-ROD VERY CONTROVERSIAL!
Oh, look, he’s done it again! Can’t that man control himself? He’s always pushing the limits, getting himself in trouble.
A-ROD PUSHES LIMITS, MAY BE IN TROUBLE!.....
There he goes again! But playing in a big card game with movie stars? THAT’S now a suspendable offense? I’m sure Michael “$10,000 a putt” Jordan never did anything like that...
You know, I don’t particularly like the guy myself. I hate defending him. But the persecution of him is way out of hand. I’m sure if Ortiz were caught playing in a big poker game the commissioner’s response would be, ‘Hey, Big Guy, how much you win?’
