I'll be in Austria in a couple of hours now, which means I can watch a 7:30 game at 1:30 a.m. local time. This allows me to share the suffering of Austria's Only Baseball Fan and Dutch Fan, whose newer name(s) I can't recall offhand, but I can't recall them with warm fondness.

After flying over here last night--missing Bird's home run by mere minutes because I had to board the plane--I don't think I'll be up that late. Hopefully, Sevvy lasts more than 1/3 inning tonight and our tired bullpen arms will find the strength to close out a win.

The Girardi Gaffe has been getting a lot of press. I wonder if Willie Randolph is available for next year. At least he eats carbs.

I am pleased to note that more and more Yankees fans find their way to the old continent. We should have a reunion one day.
