I'm beginning to think that Cole may have a substance abuse issue . . . . (either that or it was some bad sushi) . . . . because watching him pacing in the dugout just before the end of the top of the fourth inning - he looked glassy eyed and just sorta off.
I had to check on Hicks. It is a tremendous feat that he is batting 211 - I'm impressed - I could swear he was down in the Gallolian depths. He's actually hitting better than I thought.
Now if we can only get him to stop admiring his warning track power, he might even get up to the lofty heights of 225.
As if I didn't have enough animosity toward Booooooone, this little news from ESPN:
"Montas has gone 1-3 with a 6.35 ERA in eight starts for the Yankees, who acquired him for four prospects in an Aug. 1 trade with the Oakland Athletics."
When The Intern's Puppet learned this news, he had this to say:
"I thought his fastball velocity was a little bit down in that second or third inning on a consistent standpoint," Boone said Saturday. "Now, in hindsight, that could have been a sign."
Ya think? Thanks for telling us something we already knew.
late to the party. watching the giants and then this game on DVR so...
Cole sucks. JUDGE!!!!! Cole really sucks Glad rizzo's back. lasagna isn't who he was JUDGE!!!!!! He's truly a pleasure to watch. Can hicks keep it alive for Judge?
Jesus, Mary and Joseph (channeling my way to catholic father).
The California Anaheim Los Angeles Angels of Disneyworld are on the high (lo)lights.
There is not a fucking person in the stands looking at Babe Ruth Ohtani with his historic MVP season. You'd think they'd have a fucking huge media entourage filling the stands, because he's babe fucking ruth AND stan musial all in one.
They should not even be a mlb team. Demote them to the PCL, like the non-american football teams do.

Should have asked earlier, but I thought the master was only doing east coast games for the rest of the year? Not that I'm complaining.
Also, and more critical:
Why the fuck is Hicks playing AGAIN?!? Is management hoping for a career ending injury?
Boonie would say “We’re trying to get Hicksie going…”
Can someone make this shit stop?
The doctors did tests on Montas.
They concluded that he sucks…
Colace.
Here we fucking go again with Cole…
We don’t have an ace and we don’t have a closer…
A homer off of Cole 0-3, how shocking URGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Momma, there goes that $30 million man again
The depth of my hatred of Gerrit Cole is unmeasurable.
Cole is throwing 99, but his fastball is flat and straight, no life.
Judge!!!
And the best thing about Cole? His contract runs for another 6 years after this.
Rizzo!!
Yanks go back to back a belly to belly…
I’m told nobody beats the Riz!
Certainly nobody named Cabrera or Gonzalez.
Scoreboard:
TOR tied
NYG tied
NYJ down by 3
I take 61% responsibility over Boone's not chewing bubble gum of late.
Its just seeds and fingernails for our skip the rest of the way down the stretch.
Nelson is also pretty good in das booth.
If only we could get Hicks going to another team.
Hicks killed that rally…ad nauseam…
We finally got a break…
Hicks up again to kill a rally…
yay yay yay yay yay yah yah
FUCKING HICKS…
I SEE NOTHING!!!
Jeff Nelson is an excellent commentator, right up there with Cone and way better than the other guys.
Without the sticky stuff Cole is a mediocrity.

Maybe he just needs a hug.
or some sticky goo
You said it, Bosch.
And the Giants are 2-0.

Real time stat:
Arraez: .317
Judge: .314
Might as well make Schmidt the closer. Don't see a better choice.
Hicks!!!!
Hicks?
Fuck....this will buy him another month on the team
Judge!!!!!!!
59
Wow. Imagine if anyone else on this team could hit.
H(r)ICKS
Joe—- you think this team has another month?
ALL FUCKIN RISE
Judge...pfft.
Paper hanger
Lol when you put it THAT way
Oh man I’m on the radio feed… in my world Judge is still at 58
One more run and then… an excruciating drought!
Real time stat:
Arraez: .317
Judge: .315
With sixteen to go, he's going to best Maris by a few.
Judge to Hal
"Get me outta here!"
He’ll beat Maris before 154 games…

I have run out of expletives.
Judge is good at baseball. Judge could hit 65 homeruns and those inbred fucks will still give the MVP to Ohtani.
Ohtani Ruth is special. He's a two way player non-spectacular at both.
Our bullpen can blow any lead, any time.
Judge taketh, the bullpen giveth away.
Schmidt was great for one inning. Pushing him beyond that is trouble.
Nice catch by Cabrera.
Cabrera better be a Yankee next year…
Ranger,
How much you wanna bet he's in a package for Sonny Gray 2023 edition?

Cole sucks.
JUDGE!!!!!
Cole really sucks
Glad rizzo's back.
lasagna isn't who he was
JUDGE!!!!!! He's truly a pleasure to watch.
Can hicks keep it alive for Judge?
OK all caught up
Pirates have given up 149 HRs this year, one less than the Mets. They rank 22nd overall in yielding HRs.
That's in 147 games.
Red Sox rank 16th, giving up 155 HRs in 146 games.
Yanks have 10 games to reach 154 (after today).
So -- can Aaron Judge hit 2 in the next 10 games? That would give him 61 in 154 (or fewer) -- breaking Babe Ruth's legit record.
Hicks is... hitting?
Can Judge hit three?
Almost. Double. Triple Crown in sight.
Can the bullpen hold a 6 run lead????
Peralta trying mightily to give the game away.
Why is he still pitching? Ah, here comes Dopey.
Holy batshit. It's a save situation.
Boonie picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
What makes you think he stopped?
Yankees Win!!!
Another nail biter.
JM,
The bubble gum.
Oh, that. I get it now. Kinda slow today...
I'm exhausted. Thu-uhuhuh Yankees win.
That Judge kid may have a future as a professional baseball player.
Aaron Judge post-game: "We've got a good team here. Guys up and down the lineup are swinging the bat well."
He hits better than he lies, thank goodness.
I’ll just get on the horn will the Bazooka marketing people tomorrow and see what can be done with Boone’s Bubblessness . . .
Jesus, Mary and Joseph (channeling my way to catholic father).

Cole is leading the AL in strikeouts. Cole must be in the conversation as a great pitcher, right?
Did the Yankees win?
Who cares.
Did Judge hit any homers today?
Had to be out most of the day—just as well, to miss much of this game—but I followed off and on by phone. Holy shit! What a day for Judge!
If he breaks RUTH'S record...AND wins the Triple Crown...AND they win the division...there's no denying him.
exactly why the yankees will sign him then trade him to the twins
There's a name for that. It would be a "Rortvedt."
