Losing will commence once again at 7 p.m.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

"I know that if he wasn’t the Yankee manager, it would be a feeding frenzy for him to be a manager that’s coveted elsewhere, objectively. That’s how we see it.”

Please plan, then pan accordingly

Oh my, let me clear the decks of whatever I do or don't have planned so that I can watch the Yankees tonight...excuse me, but I need to run out and sign up for new cable package.

Anyone else just Gotham App the Yankees now while they're doing something else, say, reading? More and more, the Yanks just seem like they're "in the way."

Came across this link today while perusing the comments on Pinstripe Alley

https://www.theringer.com/2025/08/07/mlb/new-york-yankees-record-standings-playoffs-2025

This blows the mind...

"a woeful amalgamation of Aaron Hickses and DJ LeMahieus and Marcus Stromans. Right now, they’re paying those three as much not to play for them as the Phillies are paying Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, and those three are getting only $3 million less than the Dodgers are paying both Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman combined. "

The rest of the article is good as well.

Yeah, the game is mostly background noise now. Just a sound that I like and a reason to exchange texts with friends.

In some ways that's the strength of baseball though. Basketball and Hockey are flow games that require you to pay attention or the game is meaningless.

Baseball provides plenty of replays and lots of opportunities to check back in and watch an at bat or half inning and still get the full entertainment value.

“He can’t just ignore everything,” the former Yankee said. Otherwise JM will continue to call him an idiot.”

The intern is frighteningly inept.

It's remarkable how low the Yankees' team payroll would be without all the dead weight. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll Unrelatedly and remarkably, the Yankees are #14 in team age, which is much better than we might expect, though I don't know if that's the active team or all the inactives thrown in, too.
