Well then I suppose that Bubbles Boone is saying that Volpe is going to be keeping the clubhouse and dugout free of fleas and ticks all season long.
Amazingly valuable teammate to have around then.
They have too much invested - psychologically and in terms of propaganda - to back down. They'll repeat the lie forever about Volpe being Major League quality. He's a AAAA guy at best. Much like a national death cult that has us by the balls at the moment, they have too much to lose by admitting he's a failure. Boone and Cash's motto is: JUST KEEP DOUBLING DOWN ON THE BULLSHIT. My own personal motto that has evolved over the past year regarding Los Yanquis? I JUST DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
Also, what did we do as a fan base to deserve having to imbibe Boone's drivel every day? When does the penance end? This world is so upside down that I'm now rooting for Philly, simply because of Donnie. I never thought I'd do that.
I was just looking at photos of Boone and it struck me that he could be a double for John Wayne in dimly-lit scenes.
In the rest of Boone's WFAN appearance, he said that although he thought that VolpE-6 would eventually be a frontline SS, he seemed to concede it might be on another team. And that he has a time limit to prove it as a Yankee.
Never really was a fan of the Osmonds, Bitty. And Marie’s brow ridge was way too suspect to be taken in by her charms. However, I’m in on everything else. Good golly gosh I do wish that one day I can sit in on one of Cash and Boone’s double down meetings. Might be all that’s left for this franchise in terms of pure entertainment

Man, I'm so glad I stepped away as I see nothing has changed. Yanks just trying to stay relevant and aging. Last year I didn't watch a single pitch, sint check for a single score, I might stay away completely until MLB fixes the entire salary cap situation.
