The Yankees should start retiring letters of the alphabet

As I read the story about Sclhitler's back and lat injury, I thought to myself, what's the advantage in the betting market for an individual or organization that knew his real condition before the rest of us?

In a world where anyone can bet on anything, and sports clubs are deeply in bed with betting companies, where are the guardrails for the front office or other organizational insiders?

Players are monitored and even Ohtani's interpreter got caught placing bets for the 'great one'. But who's watching those who run the sport? What are the opportunities for a sports club to play the gambling market for profit? As businessmen, they are far more savvy than some recently rich athlete, loose in his hotel room, with an itch to place a bet.

Shell companies, crypto & off-shore bank accounts can be easily mobilized - along with their staff - to advance the cause of the corporation to make money on gambling. The possibilities are nearly endless.

If there's a profit to be made between learning insider information and public awareness, there's money to be made. Now look at the leadership of the Yankees and tell me with a straight face, they would never do such a thing.
