Amazing. And the best part is that George, a man who received, throughout his life, countless subsidies and bailouts from state, local, and federal governments—despite his own, confirmed criminal activity—felt that by 1989 the U.S. was a "mess."

(Also in Year One of H.W., and after 8 years of Reagan, both men he undoubtedly voted for. I'll retire to Bedlam.)

Professional sports is rife with political idiots. Did you see that article where NFL players are split 50/50 on Bad Bunny doing the Super Bowl? One moron said he'd rather have someone who's an American.

Of course, Benito is from Puerto Rico. Part of America.

Outisde of sports, and too often even within, sports people are fucking noxious.
