Cam should chew out Wells for not challenging that pitch to Lindor.

JM said...

But...but... they said his bat speed is higher than when he went on the IL.

When he sucked. Stupid comment from O'Neill.

JM said...

Wells makes up for it.

Judge does not

This pitcher sucks. They should pull him.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Okay, maybe leave him in for another inning.

Judge since returning has a K rate over 50%. Tell me again why he didn’t need a rehab stint in the minors.

This team is full of Schlit.

In aggregate runs, the Mets won the series. I wonder if Mets broadcasters or fans are pointing that out now, or if that's just something I think when I don't want to allow myself to enjoy a win.

Hoss - Congrats. I was reading the Sunday NYT book review section and Paradise Alley got a shout out on "The List" New York Stories

Hey guys, haven't seen that yet. As it happened, I went up for another luxury outing at the Stadium—invited to a friend's box, on the second level. very swank. Free food—even free booze—and delicious. Nice people. Just didn't seem much like watching baseball. But hey, can't complain about a touch of the high life...

HoraceClarke66 said...

...As for the game, it didn't seem like either team was all that engaged. Maybe it was the lovely weather, I dunno. Yanks looked very competent in the field, at least, Schlittler was great, the best bullpen guys held up.

But not a sign of hitting that can get them to the Series, much less win it.

HoraceClarke66 said...

I dunno, 999. I think that, with so little time left, we are better off with Judge trying to catch up with major-league pitching right away. Yep, the rust is still there, and maybe it won't shake off in time. Maybe he's still more hurt than we know.

Thing is, there are no alternatives and, again, there is no time. He's got to do the best he can, right now. If he fails, that's a bummer. But I appreciate the effort—and the willingness to look silly out in front of the home fans.

Sadly, no lobster in the suite. But the tuna poké was out of this world! Also, they provided a good ol' American hot dog, which I could eat with relish (actually, it was mustard). And I restrained myself to a beer, though they had mixed drinks available, too.

I am a man of proportion, albeit gargantuan.

Maybe Mr. Ba Boone will pitch a bad pitcher again in the post season, just like when he had Nestor pitch to Freddie Freeman.

I salute you, Sir.

And even though I’m tempted to share a recent damning article about most if not all sushi/poke grade tuna containing worms I’ll spare you for now….

(It was a mass distribution so it’s publication was everywhere if you’re interested - I think it was like six days ago)
