Jed Lowrie Wowing Redsocks with Glove, (Except for the One Game When He Made Two Errors)

It's official: Redsock super-glove shortstop Jed Lowrie is in the mix with veteran good-guy and all-time lugnut Julio Lugo for the starting spot on the '09 Hubba Hubba infield!

It says so at MLB.Com: "Lowrie, Lugo off to strong starts in most intriguing battle of spring."

"Though Lowrie had one tough day in Bradenton, Fla., earlier this week, making two errors, both players have generally looked sound on defense."

You becha! That kid Lowrie must be flashing hot leather indeed! except for the one game when he made two errors. Let's see now: Considering that Boston's played -- what? 10 games? -- with Lugo playing half and the scrubeenies finishing up, that means -- well, hey, let's not do math -- it means Jedi Jed is generally looking sound on defense! aside from the game when he made two errors.

Glory be unto the '09 Redsock prospects! Let's hope they can keep up the tradition of 'Coby Beef Ellsbury and Butcherboy Buckholtz, stars of some Jimmy Fallon/Drew Barrymore sequel. That Lowrie sure is looking good, despite the game that he made two errors.

And that's how he's going to be, sound on defense! except for the games when he makes two errors.

Wait a minute...

What would the Gammonites have said if Jeet flubbed two balls last week?

Two Jeter errors would bring on a series of Gammonite stories and an ESPN mini-series on aging players.
