Oh NO! The Redsocks have experienced a "season changer!"

Run for the hills, everybody. Crapulence has a new name.

Sox News Channel is reporting that its undergod team of choice experienced "a season-changer" last night in its historic rally to defeat the mighty Baltimore Orioles.

They're right, of course. No Gammonite could have predicted the downfall of the O's, the Mora-led powerhouse of the new millenium. To imagine the Redsocks beating them -- well -- throughout history, you've got the Spanish Armada, you've got Clay beating Liston, and you've got Truman beating Dewey. After that, it's the cuddly upstart Sox '09, the team they said was finished, striking a blow for the little guy everywhere! Coming back from an eight run deficit to win a big game and turn around the season.

If they hadn't won last night, they could have fallen 3 games behind the league-leader, and fans would have been calling for salary dump trades, figuring it's time to think of next year. But the Ellsbury Elks somehow did the impossible.

Cover your heads, everybody. It's raining ketchup.
