But can anybody explain why we are letting 24-year-old Pat Venditte "season" at Charleston when it's obvious that none of the 19-year-olds there can hit him.
If not for one bad outing, the guy would practically have no ERA.
You may recall he is the pitcher who throws from both sides. In my mind, that makes Venditte the greatest athlete in our system. Seriously. Think about it. Ponder the mental discipline.
In two seasons of his professional career, he has given up 5 earned runs.
So one question... WTF?

The answer is that the Yankee brass thinks he is simply an "oddity."
They don't take him seriously. because he does not fit the mold.
They view him as someone who will draw fans to minor league games in the vein of " the largest talking woman with no tongue."
He is, in other words, a side show to the NYY, not a pitcher.
We shall never see him in a MLB game unless the St. Louis Browns are re-incarnated.
I wonder if two arms means he can throw 200 pitches.
Hes a reliever Adam. But yes he does last longer because he uses both arms.
Considering the Yankee success rate in developing players, which mirrors General Motors' assault on building the electric car, I am at a loss to understand why they seem unwilling to promote this guy.
