Look At You

I shouldn't even have to say this, but apparently I do. So here goes:

There is no such thing as a curse.
When Veras allows 1,000,000 runs in 0.0 innings, there is no one to blame but Veras, the bum who put him in the game, and the bigger bum who signed him.

Actions have consequences. Dead goats and buried jerseys do not.

We are fans if The New York Yankees, a scientific ballclub.

But you sound like a bunch of fearful, chowder-eating Red Sox fans.

Farewell and adieu to you fine Spanish ladies,
Farwell and adieu all you ladies of Spain;
For we've received orders...

Well said. Bob Costas called the game on MLB Network with Kaat. Costas said they should have summoned Mo in the 8th, because those were the most important outs. Kaat didn't disagree, but noted the conventional baseball wisdom that you need someone in the 9th "who can actually get the last out." Joba in the 7th and 8th, anyone?
