Why We Won't Win WS For Two Decades !!

1. The Red sox get Jason Bay from Pittsburgh, we get Marte ( now with Dr. Andrews ) and Nady ( gum arm and soon will be 30+ year-old free agent ).

2. We have Dellin Bettances in the minors ( 1-4 in Charleston ), Boston has Clay Buckoltz who has already pitched a major league no -hitter.

3. Clay can't get back to ML club because Brad Penny at 366 pounds can still outpitch CC Sabathia at 310 pounds.

4. They have some kid that used to be a Yankee who throws 100+ and secured some game against the Phillies. We have Jose Veras.

5. We got nothing for Gary Sheffield who is still productive for the Mets. The Red Sox have 6 of major league baseball's top 20 prospects at various stages of development in the minors, we have none. We do have, however, one of the top 100 ( homerless AJ ).

6. Their last Rookie of the Year was last year ( or was it two years ago? Or was it both ?). We have Derek.

7. They hit Alex in the top of the first, creating a warning for both teams so CC can't throw inside or retaliate. Joe Girardi never thinks of that.

8. The Red Sox rank 2nd in over all drafting effectiveness over the past 10 years. The Yankees rank 24th.

9. We are out thought, out-played, and out peopled. But we do out-spend them.

10. Need I say more? Does the 0-8 run in 2009 provide any insights?

11. Who would like to make book on which of the 2009 MLB draft classes turns out superior ?

12. In fact, I will wager right now that not one person we selected this year will ever be an impact player for the Yankees. I feel the same way about Ian Cold Finger Kennedy.
