I've Changed My Tune.

In order to make certain that my comments are not construed in such a manner that another celebrity passes on, I have changed my attitude.

To wit:

1. Time will prove that the trades we made for Hinske, Marte and Nady were the best in Cashman's reign.

2. Joba may be the next major league starter to win 30. And he'll do it without going to jail afterwards.

3. Edwar Ramirez and Kei Igawa will save the Yankees season, this year, and lead us to the World Series.

4. Even if we trade Francisco Cervelli, Ramiro Pena and Austin Jackson for the rights to Barry Bonds, all true Yankees fans will thrill to Barry's first homer in the new stadium.

5. I hope roger Clemens starts feeling the urge to return to baseball and the Yankees , come August.

6. The Yankees can't pay CC Sabathia enough if you ask me.

7. I don't care what the numbers show, I want Robbie Cano up with the bases loaded, against anyone at any time, with one out.

8. Hideki can again be a great outfielder for us.

9, Alex does not need a rest, and Joe is right to think he can be a base stealing force for the team.

10. Bruney will soon show why Joe has stuck with him as our bridge to Mariano.

11. Duque is correct; Derek is our long-term play at shortstop. We don't need a back-up at all.

" Merrily we roll along, roll along, roll along, merrily we......."

Even if it is in a light-hearted mood Alphonses comments are downright stupid. His negativity goes beyond humor to downright hatred.

I like Alpo.

He's a constant, like the North Star.

Or a yeast infection.
