In early September, 2001, Roger Clemens was a Sports Illustrated cover boy. He was about to go for his 20th win. But his next start was rained out on September 10. September 10, 2001.

The Sports Illustrated Jinx caused the 9/11 attacks and the subsequent War On Terror. It caused the Iraq War, Guantanemo, torture, the Afghanistan War, rendition, and Bush/Cheney's reelection.
