I have a problem and I hope you will understand and bear with me.

Ernie was baseball in Detroit and around the country. Who will remember John Sterling? And what will they say?
Ernie was more than a broadcaster. He was a true icon and gentleman.
You know how Will Rogers said, "I never met a man I didn't like"? Hard to fathom sometimes.
Well, that summed up Ernie's attitude too. Combine that with wide knowledge, great storytelling, humor and professionalism, and you get some idea of what it was like to listen to him on the radio.
thanks for the pickup! SoSG Steve Sax
