Twenty-six, twenty-four, since August one.

To those whose bubble r'mains unburst,
Twenty-six, twenty-four, since August first.

For us now pending, broken-hearted,
Twenty-six, twenty-four, since August started,

And when the pundits ask us, why...?
Twenty-six, twenty-four, since died July.
