It must not be the same, being the Triple A Cashman

CLARKS SUMMIT - Scranton Wilkes- Barre Yankee general manager Jeremy Ruby, 35, Eynon, will leave his position with AAA baseball team to oversee the Abington Heights School District athletic department.

It's gotta be tough, trying to fill a minor league park in an era of pitch counts and mandated lineups. How many phone calls must he have fielded from old Joe Biden crags whining about soggy French fries or $4 beers? At least he'll have a job where his labors actually bring victories on the field of play... rather than attracting fannies to seats.

Ruby joined the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre franchise in 1998 with then Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons as a marketing intern... He rose through the ranks... named the fourth general manager in franchise history in January of 2005.

He's baseball all the way.

He is the great-grandson of long-time major league umpire Joe Paparella and son of former Red Barons pitching coach and current Houston Astros minor league coach Gary Ruby.
