Letter to the Editor: At last, somebody mentions it

Dear Editors,

With the passing of Mike Flanagan, a great epoch in Orioles baseball history is over.

He was truly stellar, World Series pitcher, Yankee pitcher and finally Orioles sportscaster.

However, the Bible is plain on what worldly pursuits bring - emptiness.

Jesus says in John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you ... not as the world gives do I give to you."

What occurred was a true tragedy and I am sure Flanagan is in heaven today. But you can't take it with you.
