I suspect Cashie will serve out all of his remaining, three years. Then maybe get an extension!
Even if he doesn't, he might well name his successor. And/or the Yanks will bring in someone just like him.
It will take years of failure—failure on the field, failure at the box office, failure at the beaches, failure on the landing fields—ahem, sorry, just channeling Churchill—it will take years of failure, PLUS years of Mets success, to bring any change. I predict 5-10 seasons before any real change even starts, and then it will take another 5-10 to see real results—IF we pick the right change regime.
Ridiculous—the squandering of so many years under Cashman, the squandering of so many years to come, despite all of the advantages that the Yankees should have.
Cashman is a useful idiot. Hal is just an idiot, albeit an idiot with money, who has never had to earn a buck the real way, and who has never suffered any consequences from his bad decisions in life because his profits keep increasing. That's the new American way. The rich get richer, the Yankees get older, the players get lazier. The fans get crazier. Fun times in old New York...
And yet, and yet there was a time that Epstein was regarded as a genius. Bloom wasn't too far behind. The Yankees are so fucked up right now that they should bring in Dombrowski for one year to shuffle the deck. I have scoffed at him over the years, but he knows talent and can think outside of the box. And he can think circles around The Brain. Too scary for the long haul...

Not a chance, and I think we all know it.
That's why I wrote that obit, Triple-9.

So...let me see, Hoss. If I have this correct: I need to ROOT for the Mets?
I know. It's a horrible thing to consider, Joe FOB. But in wartime, we must all sacrifice. All I have to offer is blood, sweat, toil, and Mets!
Sorry, getting carried away again...
5-0 skunking in Game 1. Boys came with a lot today.
16 groundouts, 8k’s, 0-10 RISP.
Tell us you were phoning it in without telling us you were phoning it in
And another brain freeze by Torres.
Maybe the reason his WAR is down is his room temperature IQ
The Red Sox won WS with three different GMs. Unlike the Bronx Bummers, they don’t view the GM as a lifetime appointment.
Carmines pull the trigger at the right time. Lot's of time to regroup before winter meetings/trades.
HAL will wait until the week before the season starts. Because he's an idiot. The only question is -- which season?
