Letter to the Editor: Thank You, Steve Balboni

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Morris County freeholders, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to former New York Jets Bruce Harper and former New York Yankee Steve Balboni for taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in the dedication of the new Challenger Baseball Field last week.

In a world of hectic nonstop schedules, it is most refreshing to find two gentlemen who unselfishly give of their time to lend help and assistance where needed.

Just as the Challenger Field is a dream come true for disabled children and adults, these two athletes made dreams come true for all who attended the dedication.

Both athletes also give back to the community through their peer mentoring program, Heroes and Cool Kids.

Their presence and interaction made a memorable event significantly more special.
