And why A-Rod feels compelled to look at a first pitch fastball from the guy?
Between 1st & 3rd nobody out in the third and bases jacked nobody out against guys like Sowers and Greg Aquino (yes the Greg Aquino who probably came to the show about a week ago straight from Cleveland's AAA team in some Northeast steel town dealing with urban decay), the late '90s Yankees would have had about 7 runs by now. We have 1.

Can somebody please fill me in on who Greg Aquino is?

We have five.
We had 1 when I wrote this.
C'mon guys, the story of the game is they finally found the solution to whether Joba will be a starter or the 8th inning guy. The answer is -- BOTH!
And did you hear Vladimir Ilyich Gammons saying the Yankees were the best team in the American league earlier?
Oh.
Is he related to Aquinoman, King of the Sea?
Perfect Joba pitched the eighth.
BUT, unfortunately the Yankee player of the month curse has struck again. I was listening to Sterling call the game, and you know what? He jinxed Joba. Joba had retired all eleven batters he had faced when thuuu voice said, "if he goes one more inning like this then we'll start getting excited" (dreams of no-hitters/perfect game, pie in the face etc. etc.). Well what do you know? as soon as he said that, during that same at-bat boom martinez hits a homerun.
Maybe it's just because he was elected by fraud as el dueqe claims
This guy played First Base for me in the South Mexican Independent Dirt Field League two years back, and we converted him to pitcher.
He uses a kind of black magic to distract hitters when there are multiple men on base.
That's why he got A-Rod looking. with the bases loaded yesterday. Then, again, A-Rod does that a lot on his own.
But he can't pitch with no one on so he walks guys until the bases are full.
You get the idea now?
We paid him $7500 for a season, but he got free food and board at the Cantina.
He raises chickens in the off season.
