PIZZA SHOP MAN DUMPED HIS WASTE

Reza Mashadi-Aghajan, who worked at Yankees Pizzeria in South Shields, dumped black bags full of old menus and waste in Potter Street, Jarrow, last autumn.

South Tyneside Magistrates' Court heard how council enforcement officers were alerted to a substantial amount of waste that had been discarded at the end of the street. The black bags, which were found underneath a pile of building materials, contained numerous letters addressed to the shop.

Mashadi-Aghajan, 33, of Ocean Road, South Shields, admitted responsibility for abandoning the waste at a hearing last week. He was fined pounds 200 and ordered to pay pounds 200 in legal and clean-up costs, as well as a surcharge of pounds 15.

IT IS HIGH hereby condemns this act. He has brought shame upon Yankees, everywhere.
