Human Rights Watch: New York cops criminally profile Yankee fans

Where is the ACLU? This from the Cornwall Standard Freeholder:

This U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency agent deserves a commendation for a great piece of police work. The officer, while patrolling Route 37 between Hogansburg and Massena, spotted a vehicle with a Quebec licence plate.

He determined it was a rental, but it was the unusual licence-plate bracket that caught his attention.

Humm. A New York Yankees licence-plate bracket on a Quebec-plated rental. Seemed strange. So he pulled the vehicle over.

When some of the answers to his questions didn't add up, a K-9 dog was used to search the vehicle.

In the trunk the officer found three large hockey equipment bags stuffed with marijuana, 114 pounds in all. The suspect is in the slammer awaiting trial.

Unexplained is why a Yankees licence-plate bracket was on the vehicle.

Unexplained? WTF? I'll explain it: The Yankees have 27 World Championships.

Sure, Canadians drink like fish and would sell their moms to get high, but just because a guy happens to like winning, he gets pulled over? This is an outrage -- the systematic pennant racial profiling of Yankee fans.
