Rupert Murdoch pied after walkoff journalism victory before British Parliament

LONDON _ During his visit to British Parliament, publishing giant Rupert Murdoch today celebrated his walk-off triumph over journalistic morality in true “Yank” fashion.


Shortly after Murdoch began speaking, he received a joyful in the face from Yankee pitcher AJ Burnett.

The move delighted Murdoch and his wife, Lil Papi, who also received pie. Both said they had heard of the Yankee victory tradition but never believed they’d be lucky enough to experience it firsthand.

“I was watching out for Tex or Robbie,” Murdoch said later, still licking foam from his liverspotted lips. “But darn it all, AJ just snuck up from behind me. Not to worry, though, I’ll get him back next week by having someone accuse him of steroid abuse, or something, ha ha.”
