JM, I used to be a fan of Costas, but he doesn’t do much for me anymore. He just doesn’t hold my interest, for whatever reason. I think he sounds bored sometimes — although not as bad as Al Michaels is now on football. And his call on the final out of last night’s game — “and that’s that,” followed by seven or eight seconds of silence— just seemed bizarre to me. It’s a 1-run playoff game, not a 13-2 game against the White Sox in May.
If Weaver is our closer next year, they have to start playing Dream Weaver when he comes in from the bullpen.
