He makes millions for sucking and the boobs in the seats should shut the f*ck up

 

The tears we should be shedding for this poor, beleaguered millionaire, according to Blake--the pitching coach who can't, and should be totally focused on getting this guy's head straight. As opposed to his changeup.

Those people paying hundreds of dollars to witness a Williams meltdown (including the questionable food and ridiculously priced drinks) should just be happy Hal allows them entry. How dare they voice their displeasure if a player's performance is consistently lousy. 

Blake essentially wants the audience to help him do his job. I find this condescending on a Ruthian scale.

Yes, I feel badly for Devin. He's been a hotshot wherever he is, and now this. It has to really screw with your mind, and as Yogi said, baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical. This is why God invented pitching coaches and sports psychiatrists (not psychologists, we need the heavy hitters of the mental game).

The bottom line is, it was a stupid trade. Weaver was and is our closer. What did he do to lose that job? Nothing. Just Cashman being Cashman. And we lost Durbin, to boot.

 

Boone is an idiot, yes. But on the other hand, he's probably just following orders. Which didn't work at Nuremberg and doesn't really work here. But who else is going to hire him? I don't think there's another GM as egomaniacal and prone to wrong moves as Cashman. Maybe there is. 

If you know who that is, can you please get in touch with him and tell him how obedient and trustworthy ol' Boone the Goon is. And put in a good word for Blake while you're at it.
