9. Toronto, Boston and Baltimore have all made recent upgrades.
10. In public statements, Hal Steinbrenner shows no willingness to increase spending.
Thus, by Friday, we should know where this team is going in 2026.

I may or may not be moved to post again today. If not, Happy New Year to you, my favorite online crew. We will prevail. We will survive. We may or may not live to see a better Yankee organization, but we will heal and, maybe, just maybe, find some joy again in baseball again one day. It may get worse before it gets better, and I cannot honestly say I have been to the mountain and seen the other side, but my coffee is kicking in and I can say that there is more to baseball than just baseball. I feel the same: lucky to be here with all of you. And yes, Scotland, I love that toast! I've been very lucky not to have lost too many yet, but there were a couple more this year, and I'll miss them more than ever going forward.
