Received last night from Seattle correspondent Buhner's Ghost:
Jeff held the O's in check for 6 innings until the M's erupted and earned him his third win of the season. In the post-game, [announcers Dave] Sims and [Mike] Blowers referred to Jeff as "reliable."

He was certainly reliable for the Yankees.
Jeff Weaver was always reliable...I put him in the same class as Ed Whitson.
We might have burned Jeff's lawn, too, except he lived in an apartment.
