Last year, I saw Brett Gardner play a game in Syracuse.
He hit a routine doubleplay ball to shortstop.
He beat it out. Then he stole second. Then he stole third.
The pitcher pulled a Rick Ankiel. The Traveling Wilkes Barries scored a bunch.
From a routine grounder.
Last fall, he played in the Arizona Instructional League.
In 26 games, he scored 27 runs.
At every level, this guy has been the catalyst for an explosive offense.
He's so fukinay fast, they might have been infield hits.
Ponder it, Mr. Girardi. Ponder it.
