Nunez Earns 11th Loaf

The worst fielding utility infielder ever to don a major league uniform struck early and often last night.

I had already called the bakery to ready a 12th loaf for him, but his second blunder of the night was ruled something other than an error.

A human failing? Just a mistake? A play anyone could screw up?

Predictably, he balanced his cement glove by failing 4 times at the plate, dropping his batting average toward the heavily mediocre range.

With a bench like this, we can afford to keep an aging Andruw Jones to hit meaningless homers, once a month.

Perhaps our signing of the latest 35-36 year old pitching cast-off from the Washington Nationals will help turn things around for us.

Maybe he can play third.

It's the fault of el duque's red sox pals who voted in eduardo as player of the month over igawa.

It is inevitable.
Unless we trade him, at some point in the not-too-distant future, in the ALCS or World Series, Eduardo Nunez will have a Bill Buckner moment.

We all know why this happened.

The IIH IIF IIC Employee of the month award curse can be a real bitch.

I agree. It is the curse.

That's why I always vote for Kei Igawa.

It can't hurt the Yankees if he wins, although it may have hurt Japan.

Joe, this is just plain ridiculous. Nunez will never have a chance to do anything in an ALCS much less a WS game.

Nunez and the postseason is what they call a "self limiting problem".

Perfesser,
You don't think Jeter or A-Weird will ever miss a post-season game due to injury? Nunez won't replace Jeter when he retires? {That's why I said in the not-too-distant future.} I hope you are right.
