John Sterling was conflicted today...

The Master spent the day mourning...

1. The loss of Gene Michael, "a great friend."

2. The loss Tuesday night, with Dellin Betances: "This could have been a sweep."

But I'm sure he's celebrating Suzyn's birthday

Something I learned on the Yankees broadcast today, besides those very nice tributes to Stick:

Todd Frazier has back pains (according to Suzyn).

So...supposedly we're going hell for leather for a playoff spot, or even a division title. But even though our starting 3B has back pains, Miguel Andujar is out in Dunder Mifflin land, trying to land that Governor's Cup. While Garrett Cooper is still rehabbing down in Trenton—TRENTON!—so, I guess, we can snatch up whatever the Eastern League trophy is.

Hell, why stop there? Why not send Severino down to try to win the Florida State championship? Why not have Tanaka throw a game for Staten Island?

I just don't get it.

They haven't been getting anywhere, towing the Party Line, Horatio, so why not make a deal with the Other Side, and get some good press somewhere??

SOMEone was celebrating Suzyn's BD last night - - she had a nice bouquet of yeller roses in front of her. LB (No J)
