Rays Radio Network Guy Attacks Yankee Stadium On Public Airwaves

Flipping channels in the car yesterday, I came across the Rays Radio Network broadcast.

Calling the game from Tropicana Field, the announcer -- I didn't get his name -- derisively referred to Yankee Stadium as "The Replica."

The source of John's secret pain ...

Yes, this is the "funny, funny, funny" thing that John Sterling was referring to in the previous post. The photo is from the June 4 game vs. the Rangers. Sorry about the fuzziness, my camera was so overwhelmed by the wonder of the warble that it refused to focus. (And you can't image how large that video board is until you've actually been in the stadium. It should have its own zip code.)

You: "The Worst Thing Right Now Is That We Play Home Games In A Deserted Shopping Mall"

Poll is closed and (naturally) your choice for The Worst Thing Right Now is the thing that we'll never be able to fix (which is an exaggeration, because we can probably build a whole new stadium around 80 years from now)...

...Followed by when it's our turn to pitch (which we have to do in every single game)...

...Followed by a pile of dead catchers (and when people die, they're gone for good).

All of which compels the question:

How does it feel to eat a whole bag of Chips Ahoy while crying?

I'll let you know in 10 minutes!

UPDATE! It feels awful, and exactly right!

This Is What I Have Been Saying All Along

SHOCK UPDATE! Heyman also tweeted:

Is the CC with a 1-3 record also an impostor?

OH! ALSO! Because the Yankees are too cheap to buy a retractable roof, I am actually listening to a Syracuse Chiefs game. I hate this.

Coming to a High Priced Section Near You!

Nothing says Yankee baseball like heritage pork porchetta over kielbasa sauerkraut, and crab cake with a cauliflower and tomato relish.

Let the whoring begin!

Oh, wait, I meant continue.

Whatever. Clear out time on your schedule this coming Tuesday. The following is from the QVC program guide!!!
