Dear Editor
Stan Phillips [letter, Feb. 24, "Race Isn't A Factor In Woods Case"] wrote that the intense media scrutiny faced by athletes such as Tiger Woods all started with the publication of Jim Bouton's book "Ball Four," about the Yankees' 1969 season.
However, Jim Bouton didn't write about the Yankees' season, but the 1969 season of the Seattle Pilots. This was the only season of their existence before the team moved to Milwaukee in 1970.
