The Redsock Nation is trying to carve a southern foothold.
Some entrepreneurs from hell are opening a Boston theme restaurant -- I guess Boston Markets, with the mashed potato fix wasn't working -- to capture Redsock fans while honing their melanomas over the winter.
Modeled after the Beacon Hill pub, The Sevens, and named after the road that runs behind Fenway Park, Bonita Springs' Lansdowne Street is a bar/restaurant that is unabashedly Boston.
It should come as no surprise, then, that after being open for two years, the food, drink and decor draw Red Sox fans, players and team owners.
Owners Michael and Charlie Maurer spent a year designing Lansdowne Street, making sure it had everything a Boston Red Sox fan could want.
